The Bangkok Shambhala Meditation Center is part of an international community of meditation centers founded by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and now led by his son and lineage holder Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

The meditation technique that we practice and teach is Shamatha Viphashana a mindfulness-awareness meditation. This technique originates directly from the Buddha Shakyamuni and has been passed from teacher to student for over 2500 years.

We host a drop-in meditation & discussion class every Saturday afternoon. Each class is led by a meditation instructor (certified and trained in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage), so you can ask any questions you have about your practice, or just come along and benefit by sitting with a group!

In addition to the regular Saturday class, we have a few open meditation practice sessions throughout the week. We also occasionally have visiting teachers, and special practice events or classes. Check out the calendar page to see what’s happening.
